I took a nice 25ish mile jaunt on my Hooligan tonight. At one point I wasn’t sure if I had ridden through the briefest of rain showers ... Or a cloud of bugs.
Yeah.
Juicy!

Every ride during these hot, humid days ends with my shield completely covered; makes me realize how many would be in my eyes and nose were I helmetless.
Plus, ever had a junebug hit your helmet at speed? It sounds like someone wipped a little rock at you like a fastball. Imagine taking that to the dome!

I don't understand anybody who thinks large bugs hitting your face at speed is Freedom, Fuck yeah!

When I took my unneeded motorcycle safety course, they said the typical injury for riders was their chin. No thanks. It’s hot as Fk outside right now, so windshields FTMFW!!!
Alas, I haven’t ridden my motorcycle since the thunderstorm. If I don’t get time in this week I’ll shelf it too since I’ll be out of town for a couple months.

I had a bug hit my glasses on my (bike) ride this evening . I down in the drops on a descent near my house and got a splatter across the right lens . I might have been a few mph over the 25mph speed limit on the street.

As the old joke goes, How do you know when you have a happy motorcyclist?
By counting all the bugs on his teeth.
Happy trails to you.

The more I wear it, the more I love it. It cost more than I wanted to spend, but I'm glad I spent the extra money.

I rode with an open face helmet for a few years, only switching to a full faced one after hearing a particularly gruesome story. I have ended up absolutely loving it. The more I wear it, the more I love it.

If Steve McQueen (a man who liked to drive) could eat bugs in the movie “Papillon”, so can you.

On my ride to Sturgis a few years back we ran through a swarm of some little tiny bugs, we had to pull over to wash the helmets off because we just couldn’t see. The entire front side of everything was yellow, I had to wipe down the headlight because it was useless at that point. I swore I had a picture of it but can’t seem to find it.

Same with mine, I ended up getting one with a transition lens and an integrated mount for a Sena unit. I absolutely love both of those features. I don’t have to wear sunglasses anymore under my visor, I don’t think I can ever go back.

My helmet has a built-in sunglasses bit that I slide down when needed with a lever.
